How a QR actually works, in four steps.

Before you pay for anything: here's what's happening when someone points their camera at one of these squares.

    A URL, WiFi network, contact card, or payment link. The QR is just a way to bring that destination into the real world.

    Generate & style

    Your destination gets turned into the dot pattern you see. Customize the colors, shapes, and logo — keep enough contrast between the dots and background and any modern scanner will read it.
